Structure System Optimal Design

Global optimization of multidisciplinary ocean and maritime systems using mathematical optimization and machine learning methods.

Ocean and maritime world are large-scale and complex, multidisciplinary systems where structures, fluid, society, and the economy interact with each other. Our laboratory conduct research to optimize the system using mathematical optimization and machine learning methods, data-driven approach.

The research area includes structural and fluid simulations, shape and topology optimization, multi-material design, and shape generation through generative models, optimization based on deep reinforcement learning, and we use these methods to build innovative new structures.
